In my opinion, necessary hard core functions: availability of works on diversity frequencys (within the bands and with cross-band), CTCSS & DCS tones supporting (with scannering him). Availability of cymometer is desired.

Dear cathy!
We are very interested in Dual-Band (VHF+UHF) radios.
Example of such radio is Quansheng TG-UV.
The only missing feature is cross-band repeater. (Like it was in Yaesu FT-51R).
Other then that the feature list of Quansheng TG-UV is convenient.

For me the main features are:

# Dual band
# CTCSS/DCS
# Dual-watch operation
# Power switch:5w/1w/10mW
# Keyboard
# Weight with battery and antenna less then 330g
# Ability to work from AA batteries using some kind of adapter
